Data Tech Operation Technician
I was brought onto AWS when I started my internship in September of 2018. After my internship, I was rehired by an AWS sub-contractor (Apex Systems). While working for Amazon I was responsible for replacing server motherboards, CPU, ram, power supply, riser cards, hard drives, and solid-state drives; at multiple data centers in Oregon. Regarding networking, I replaced and inspected fiber optic cables such as LS and SC; multi-mode or single-mode, as well as LC and QSFP optics. I was also responsible for clearing port security and ACL (Access control lists) on switches.
Fun Fact: This website (fabioalfaro.com) runs on an Amazon Web Services Ec2 Instance I created.

I regularly fixed devices such as Echo, Fire Tv, Fire Tablets, and Amazon apps. After working in Customer Service for 6+ years, I felt it was time to move towards a more complex environment. Therefore, after completing my associates; I applied for Amazon Web Services and continued therein.
